We all know the benefits of drinking water. It's great for our eyes, hair, skin, teeth, cognitive functions...the list is endless.
BUT I hate it so bad! Like really bad! No matter how good it is for me, no matter how much I read of the benefits I struggle with taking in enough water. In the fall and winter months when I consume vast amounts of coffee, my water consumption falls to almost zero. I have a tad bit of a coffee problem.
When I decided to make some life-altering changes to my health, water consumption was at the top of the list. I researched Fruit Infused Water, and I found what has worked for me. Something that not only makes drinking water more of a treat than a chore, but also adds much needed vitamins and minerals to my diet.
My Top 5 Fruit Infused Water Combinations
1. Lemon + Cucumber + Mint (optional)
2. Watermelon + Mint
3. Blueberry + Lavender + Lemon
4. Orange + Blueberry
5. Strawberry + Lemon + Sweet Basil
I add the fruit to my water bottle diffuser and chill in the fridge overnight (when I remember). Some mornings, I toss the fruit in the diffuser with lots of ice and by the time I make it to work the flavors are mixing nicely.
