FOOD POISONING!
I had been telling my husband for weeks that I would love to try a certain local restaurant. I've never been, and I wanted to give it a go. I love trying foods from different cultures, and I grew up in a home where change was frowned upon.
If I ever said I wanted to try a new food or anything new, I was immediately told "no you do to want to do that". So here I am, trying new things constantly or adding my spin on things.
Or at least until this past weekend! I had to throw the brakes on my foodie adventures. I ordered a dish and it was wonderful! I had zero complaints on how great this Pho dish tasted. Spice was spot on and it was way more than I could eat in one sitting. Take out container, please! About an hour after eating, I didn't feel well so off to bed I went.
Saturday, I felt fine until midday when I decided to warm up my leftovers. I ate and within an hour I had a headache and felt queasy. My solution? I went to bed, still not putting it altogether. If you haven't guessed, sleep is my solution anytime I don't feel well.
Sunday, I warmed up a little of the Pho and about 10 minutes after eating I KNEW what was happening. I knew why I had felt off the last two day. I knew I was not going to like the coming hours. I KNEW! And just like that, my food blog and recipes were put on pause.
Food has not been my friend this week, and I made my go-to tummy friendly Chicken and Dumplings. Recipe coming soon!
